Hello hello!

Just a quick update - we had a couple quick snaps of the fantastically gorgeous Rosie wearing one of our custom leather corsets in fuschia leather with cream piping and trim. We're pleased to bits with the way it turned out and were even happier when we received the photos of her wearing it!

Hello hello :)

Just a quick post - we had the extreme pleasure of receiving a custom order for one of our leather corsets in the most amazing colour combination ever - fuschia and cream! We took a few quick photos on a camera phone and will hopefully update soon with photos of the customer in the finished piece. It was super fiddly to work with (leather always is), but it went together beautifully and we're super happy with how it turned out.

Hey everyone! Long time no speak! We've been silly busy lately and have been utterly rubbish at photographing new work before it's sent and keeping this journal up to date! We are working on a few special snazzy pieces though, so watch this space.

Also, whilst routing through some old photos, I came across some work from our first photoshoot and I thought I would share a couple! The red corset is our eyelet detail corset and the the lavender dragon brocade one is our pointed under bust corset.

Hello! Just a quick update! I wanted to share a corset that we finished today - one of our over bust polka dot piping detail corsets in a 30" (it's ever so slightly too big for the antique clothing model, but I still think it looks lovely!)

Now, I am prone to random fixation on things or colours or what have you. The other week I arbitrarily decided that orange was the most amazing colour ever and that I was only going to buy orange fabric. I consequently now have a rather large amount of orange silk floral brocade in a variety of different designs...

But anyway, I digress. Today, it was bows. I finished the this corset and was putting some of these gorgeous dark purple crystals onto the label and thought...this corset could really do with a bow. I made a matching polka dot pin wheel bow accented with crystals - it attaches to the corset with a little safety pin. So I suppose whoever gets this corset will be in for a little suprise :)

Hey everyone! Just a few quick photos of a few corsets we finished recently.

First is a baby pink duchess satin pointed under bust corset with gold piping and trim - it was a custom order that we made for a client a few weeks back:

It was such a joy to make - we really liked the colour combination!

Next is an over bust piping detail corset in deep red duchess satin with black piping and trim. The first photo shows the corset as a work in progress - almost finished but untrimmed and without the modesty panel sewn in:

And the next is a quick shot of the finished article shortly before we laced it up and dropped it off at the shop:

We really need to get a small size dress form so we can photograph smaller corsets properly...

Hola!

Just a quick update - the shop have updated their new items page with our diamonte detail corset .

It's made with lush deep grape purple silk satin and just under a thousand matching Swarovski crystals. We think it looks amazing laced up with contrasting white ribbon!

Hey everyone :)

Just a quick photo update with a corset we finished the other day - it's our pointed under bust corset in this absolutely gorgeous emerald green silk - it was *so* nice to work with. We took some photos of the corset last night (when the light wasn't great) so I took a few close-ups this morning to give you a better idea of the colour as the flash distorted it a bit :)

Hi :)

Just a quick update with some hastily taken photos (on my camera so they're a bit rubbish...) of one of our bridal corsets (this design is currently available exclusively through the shop.)

It's a close-front corset made out of white silk dragon brocade - it doesn't quite fit my antique clothes model, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like.

The last two photos are the inside of the modesty panel. It may sound silly, but it's actually one of my favourite things to make - it gives you an opportunity to turn an entirely functional part of the corset into something exceptional and different :)

I just had to share! The gorgeous Mama Dixie from Pink Box Burlesque sent me a few photos of her in her new front lacing corset from our site.

It's made with black butterfly silk brocade accented with onyx Swarovski crystals and pink ribbon up the front...we think she looks incredible!

Hi everyone :)

Just a quick post really - I went shopping to my favourite habadashery the other day, and he had....gold busks. They are so pretty! He told me this ludicrous story that the factory he ordered them from in Germany told him that they are actually gold-plated....we both had a good laugh anyway ;)

They're not something I feature regularly on the site, but I have bought some in because I'm sucker for new stuff when it comes to corset making. So I figured I'd do a special offer on them on here :) Super limited edition - first come, first serve! They are 11" busks, and are what we use in our underbust corsets. The Red Corset

Well! As I alluded to, I have been working on a custom order for a lovely customer and will be handing over the goods tomorrow. She was kind enough to let me take some photos of it on the lovely saiira :)

The corset itself is modeled on our classic over bust design but is custom insofar as the size is concerned. It's made of a ruby red silk satin (it's actually one of the most expensive fabrics I have ever worked with) with a matching trim that was cut on the bias. The ivory crochet lace is accented with siam Swarovski crystals (which match the fabric so well it's unreal). The ribbon garters are hand made (they were so much fun to make...) This corset also has straps (not shown in these photos) which attach by way of a little button on the inside of the corset itself.

So yeah :) It took a while longer considering than I would have liked (all the fittings were done in person and it's a 200 mile round trip) but I am really happy with the results. It's just beautiful. It's making stuff like this that reminds me why I love sewing so much - it was a joy to make.

Anyway, I waffle. No one really reads this anyway ;) It's all about photos!

...and it's not because we've not been insanely busy here at Corset Rouge....it's more down to me being rubbish and not having a camera!

However, it's all sorted now, so I'd thought I'd post a quick update :)

Firstly, I wanted to share a photo of a lovely corset that is currently in the shop display window at the moment! I wanted to make a something a bit different, so I put together something new for the shop - it's our classic over bust corset design but with horizontal bones at the bust. Also, all the flowers are encrusted with aurora borealis Swarovski crystal - I thought the colours complimented the fabric perfectly!

Also, I've been working on something a

(custom order!), so I've included a bit of a teaser photo - I'm hoping to have some proper ones taken in the next few days. I must say, it's one of the most opulent corsets I have ever made - the red fabric is pure silk satin, and it's probably one of the most expensive (if not *the* most expensive) and luxurious fabrics I have ever worked with. Add that to the hand-turned embroidered lace which is jeweled (again, by hand) with Siam Swarovski crystal....you get the idea. More to follow!

WOW! What a beautiful day! I don't know about you guys, but the sun is streaming down here in Corset Rouge land, and we are feeling very summery!

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a fantastic bank holiday weekend! Just a few quick things really :)

First off, we had the privilege of making a corset for the lovely Mama Dixie, who is a member of The Pink Box Burlesque - go check them out - their new site is ace.

However, not only is she part of a super-talented burlesque troupe, she also runs The Left Hand, which makes The Most Gorgeous Soaps Ever. Seriously, I picked up a package from the post office this morning, and was absolutely blown away by the stuff - it's amazing! They do one called Grasshopper, which is chocolate and mint...it's so nice. Also, I've got very dry hands and their skin salve has worked wonders on them. Go check them out :)

Also, Corset Rouge was a proud sponsor of our very good friend, Rhod (alias Astraboy) who participated in the ScumBall Rally. Think Gum Ball Rally, but all the cars have to cost under £500 and all the participants raise money for charity :) This year, Astraboy and Davespice (his partner in crime) won best dressed in the competition...and no wonder, as they did their car up as the Delorean from Back to the Future! Well done guys! I've attached some photos - it looks like such excellent fun :) More information on them and their car can be found here. You can see all of their photos here.

Yup! The shop were kind enough to lend some corsets (including one of our classic over bust corset in red duchess satin) to the good people at Channel 4 and they were featured in the programme, 'how to look good naked' :D How utterly cool is that.

And indeed, something blue! I was going through my photos and I just wanted to share a corset that I made for the shop a while back. I really like the design (it's not one that I feature on my site at the moment), and I love the fabric, so I thought I would share :)

This particular corset is close-front, and is made out of the most gorgeous silvery-blue blossom brocade. The blossoms are accented with aurora borealis swarovski crystals.

I'm working on lots of stuff at the moment, so expect a glut of photos shortly :)

Hi!

Just wanted to share two new silk brocades that I received today :)

The first one is probably the most beautiful silk brocade I have ever seen - I have been raving about it to anyone who listen (and now it's your turn...muhaha...)

It's a deep turquoise blue chrysanthemum brocade with silver blossoms - so amazing!

And now for something a bit fun...hello kitty silk brocade!
