more underbust corsets!
I just thought I would share another under bust corset that we finished this week :)  It's a pointed under bust corset in black duchess satin.  More to come :)

What's your secret to such smooth satin (aside from practice!)? Is it a matter of the pattern being perfect so that there's no warping, or do you prepare the fabric/pieces in any way?

Such lovely craftsmanship :-)

that's a big compliment thank you :)

As for the satin, I think it's a combination of practice (over ten years now) and high quality materials. We only use medium weight silks and duchess satins which by their very nature are not prone to wrinkling or warping.

Also, we fuse an interfacing directly to the wrong side of the top fabric to further stabilise and strengthen it :)

If I may ask another sort of rookie question, what is the appeal of having that point up the middle rather than just going straight across?

We just think it's a more flattering shape :)
